A. THE ROUTE DESCRIPTION, SIGNAGE AND MAP
The route follows NCN77 to Dundee, then NCN777 to Newburgh and NCN775 from Bridge of Earn into Perth. There will be ByCycle signage on the alternative Route 2 via Walnut Grove which avoids Kinnoull Hill, and from Newburgh to the junction with NCN775, but otherwise riders should accustom themselves to following the blue National Cycle Route signs. There will be no marshals.
A detailed Route Description which includes en route facilities and risk points can be downloaded by participants [HERE – click or hold].
Alternative routes are suggested to avoid the two major hills.
The Mapometer maps showing the alternative routes are:
Main Route mapometer.com/cycling/route_5258158
Secondary Route mapometer.com/cycling/route_5258169
These can be downloaded and followed on your smartphone or Garmin. It may be possible to download the maps as a .GPX but, if you are having problems, please request a copy by emailing ByCycle.
